Armed Forces Bone Marrow Transplant Centre/ National Institute of Blood and Marrow Transplant (AFBMTC/NIBMT) provides specialized care for patients suffering from various malignant & non-malignant blood disorders and is a dedicated centre for clinical haematology and bone marrow transplant. Inaugurated on 20 Mar 2001, First bone marrow transplant was carried out on 19 July 2001. Till December 2020 around 1150 bone marrow transplant have been carried out at this centre.
